BACKGROUND:
Found in Teehee valley, these are Snifits disguised as cacti so that they can try to shoot Mario and Luigi unawares as they go through the area.
Spiky Snifits have been known to shoot mushrooms as well as spiked balls, but this is rare. They are often found with Gritty Goombas.

Attack Pattern: Spiky Snifits give two hints as to who they will attack. First, it will shift back and forth. If its right arm becomes visible, the enemy will attack Mario; if not, Luigi will be the target. Secondly, the Spiky Snifit may pretend to spit out something before actually attacking. If so, the object will travel on a low arc, and the Mario Bros. must jump to avoid it. If this step does not occur, the spat object will bounce harmlessly over the target's head.
Basic Strategies: Just avoid the balls, and attack with various normal and special attacks.
