BACKGROUND: Catbat is a monster bound to guarding the Sapphire Passage and scaring the heck out of young game players. This hideous spirit has a weird mechanical bat on top of its head that allows it to fly. Wario had to jump on this bat to defeat Catbat and claim his treasure chests. Seriously, this dude is creepy.

Attack Pattern: Catbat will fly around the room. In the middle of its stage is a pool of water. Catbat can slam down into the pool, creating waves. The terrifying fiend can also spit up spiky balls that will damage Wario or inflate him, which wastes precious time.
Basic Strategies: Use the waves Catbat creates to ride to its head. Jump on the bat to damage Catbat. Repeat a few more times to defeat the Sapphire Passage guardian.
