BACKGROUND:
Bandineros are cute little creatures that fancy themselves pirates and wear the bandanas for which they get their names. They may just be Gooms that work for the Shake King.
Shake King didn't choose these henchmen very well - most of them are completely harmless to a powerful adventurer like Wario. It's all they can do to scream as he shakes them down for treasure or uses them as handy-dandy projectiles.

Items: Garlic. Gold ones give out large coins.
Attack Pattern: Yellow ones hop up and down in place while white ones tend to sit still and nap. Any other colour wanders back and forth along the ground, waiting for Wario to beat them up. Some blue ones can float.
Basic Strategies: Anything will work on these guys, even just touching them won't harm you. Shoulder-bashing them kills them completely, hopping on them stuns them so you can pick them up them. If you find a pure Gold one (not just yellow) it will drop tons of coins when you shake it!
The sleepy white ones always give out large garlic.
Advanced Strategies: It's often useful to throw these guys around. You can also put them down by pressing down on the control pad while carrying them, which is useful if you want to position them so that Wario can jump off their heads to get higher.
