BACKGROUND: The Whimp is indeed an unusual creature. They seem to be lesser cousins, or perhaps even the spawn of Whomps. So far, they have only been spotted being summoned by the Whomp king, as witnessed by the famous adventurer Mario. If they were not such pernicious attackers, one would almost feel sorry for the little tykes: They are even weaker than Goombas. If they miss while attacking something, they will immediately crumble, and can also be defeated by simply being stomped. In all, they are worthy of further study.
