BACKGROUND: Once Melody was a famous pianist; she ate a poisonous mushroom and died. As a spirit, she wandered playing her music (ever wonder where that background music came from?) The boos liked her music so much that they asked her to live in their mansion and she agreed.
Her music certainly has goten better over the years, as she's had tons of practice over the years playing background music for Mario games.

Advanced Strategies: Try standing in the bottom right corner of the room when you suck her in, there's less to interfere with sucking her into the Poltergust 3000.
