BACKGROUND:
Morton Koopa Jr is also known to some as Big Mouth, for good reason. Morton’s favourite hobby is talking, and often gives the other Koopalings headaches.
Morton is the only Koopaling with brown scales and has a grey star on one side of his face, possibly a birthmark or scar.
He is often a grouch and not a morning person. He has appeared alongside his siblings in several games and is probably the most distinguishable.
Morton is believed to be named after Bowser’s grandfather, Morton Koopa. Morton was the second Koopaling boss in Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario World. Of particular note, all the Koopalings' names are parodies of a famous person.
Morton is named after Morton Downey Jr., a talk show host.

OTHER BACKGROUND INFO:
"Bowser's ordered these wicked youngsters to guard over the traped Yoshis. They each have their own special attacks, and devising ways to defeat them in their castles is a tall order." - Super Mario World Instructions
|
QUOTES:
"We just love being mean!" - SMB3 Instruction Manual.
"Grrrrr. You're pretty tricky. With all of these new moves, Mario will be difficult
to beat. I'd better report this to our dad!" - SMB3 Instruction Manual.

BATTLE PLAN:
Super Mario Bros. 3
Attack Pattern: Attacking in a similar way to Iggy, Morton hops around the room shooting at you.
Basic Strategies: Jump on him.
Super Mario World
Attack Pattern: Runs up the sides of walls and slams down, trying to crush you.
Basic Strategies: Jump on him.
Advanced Strategies: Stand far away from the wall Morton climbs, then run under him when he’s part way across the ceiling. Turn around and stomp him as soon as he lands.
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga
Attack Pattern: Uses the same Fireball technique as the others. Also uses a shockwave move.
Basic Strategies: When he leaps in the air, he spins a few times and slams down, causing the shockwave attack. The number of times he flips equals the number of shockwaves.
You’ll have to jump over them, they are also difficult to spot, since they are practically invisible.
Advanced Strategies: A Power Grip item from blending 5 things at the cafe would help you. To battle Morton, jump over the shockwaves he is creating, don't worry, this is as easy as the border jump.
