BACKGROUND:
Count Bleck was once Count Blumiere. A descendant of the Tribe of Darkness, he fell in love with the Lady Timpani, but his father forbade their love, and banished Timpani to somewhere unknown. Because of that, Count Blumiere became demented, stole the Dark Prognosticus, and became Count Bleck.
Bleck then set off to fulfill the dark prophecy in the Dark Prognosticus, to end all worlds. Unfortunately for him, this meant messing with the Mario and friends, who have a reputation for ruining evil plans.
