Cranky Kong was always trouble for Mario back in the old days. To keep him from saving his
girlfriend, he would throw huge barrels at the plumber. The barrels would roll down the construction site and had a huge chance of hitting Mario. But Mario wasn't going to give up a fight! He used his mallet and slammed the barrels open.
Barrels later became helpful items for Donkey Kong and friends on their adventures.
