BACKGROUND: Crazee Dayzees aren't always the enemies, the ones on Yoshi's Island are quite peaceful. However the Crazee Dayzees at Twilight Trail and Flower Fields are very aggressive. This is probably because of a lack of sunlight. In Twilight Trail the sun never shines and Flower Fields was recently covered by thick clouds, but Yoshi's Island has bright weather all the time.

EVOLUTION: Crazee Dayzees first showed up in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. The cute little prancing flowers were mostly yellow.
In later Paper Mario series games, they had whiter petals and their faces were smaller. They also wore purple shoes. As you can see, they barely changed between Paper Mario: TTYD and Super Paper Mario.

OTHER BACKGROUND INFO:
"This is a Crazee Dayzee. Crazee Dayzees look cute, but you won't think they're so cute after they attack you!
Max HP: 8, Attack Power: 4, Defense Power: 0 They attack by singing a song. If you fall under the song's spell, you'll fall asleep.
If you get their HP low enough, they'll try to run away. Beat 'em quickly so they can't flee."-Goombario

"That's a Crazee Dayzee. It may look totally cute, but it's a serious foe.
Max HP is 7, Attack is 2, and Defense is 0.
What you gotta worry about is its lullaby. That tune will totally zonk you out.
If you manage to guard well, though, you might not pass out. Try to learn the timing.
Oh, and when its HP runs low, it runs away, so try to KO it in one fell swoop." - Goombella
